AI receipt reading: the end of manual expense entry

1Introduction

Petty-cash recording usually means collecting paper receipts and typing amounts, dates and vendors.

2Discussion

OCR extracts text and ML identifies total, date, vendor and tax, suggesting a category.

Persian receipts mix numeral systems, use Jalali dates and faded thermal print; locally trained models are far more accurate.

3Conclusion

Result: faster entry, no typing errors, digital receipts for audit and automatic duplicate detection.
